A private ceremony was held on Monday at Exploria Stadium where Orlando City players and front office staff were presented the 2022 U.S. Open Cup championship ring by club chairman Mark Wilf.
Features of the ring include:
- The Six Stepping Stones: Six purple stones represent each one of the six victories in City’s 2022 U.S. Open Cup championship run.
- Brick-by-Brick: The outside shank features a brick wall pattern as a nod to Orlando City’s supporters and The Wall, Exploria Stadium’s Supporters Section.
- Our Fortress: The right shank presents an engraving of Exploria Stadium, the stage to all of the Club’s 2022 U.S. Open Cup matches.
- Player Name & Number: Also on the right shank, the player’s name and number (or staff member’s last name) are included.
- U.S. Open Cup Final Date: The inside reminds of a day forever etched in Orlando City history: September 7, 2022, the day of the 2022 U.S. Open Cup Final.
- Trophy & Championship Year: The left shank features the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Trophy, along with the year of the Club’s Championship win.
- Ring Top: The ring top features 118 stones surrounding Orlando City’s iconic gold lion mane and placed on top of purple amethyst stones, with the U.S. Open Cup Champions wordmark in yellow gold framing the edges.
