Orlando City B announces 2023 MLS NEXT Pro roster

Ahead of Sunday’s season-opener in Philadelphia, Orlando City B has announced its roster for the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro campaign.

A total of 10 new young players join Head Coach Martín Perelman’s roster, looking to improve on a 2022 season that ended with the reserve side failing to make the NEXT Pro playoffs. The complete roster includes a mix of both players under contract with OCB and youth players from Orlando’s academy system.

“It’s an exciting time with another MLS NEXT Pro season approaching,” Orlando City SC Assistant General Manager and Technical Director Ricardo Moreira said in a club release. “Orlando City B is a critical piece of our Club’s development pathway, and we look forward to seeing the growth of our young players throughout the upcoming season.”

OCB will feature nine returning players from last season’s squad, including goalkeeper Javier Otero, who finished 2022 as the league leader in saves with 100, and Alejandro Granados, who competed for the side a year ago as an Academy player and has since signed an MLS NEXT Pro contract.

MLS players on the Orlando City roster will also be eligible for playing time throughout the season and will be announced in-season.
