Goalkeeper Pedro Gallese continued his torrid form to start the season, finishing with 8 saves as Orlando City finished its first-leg Round of 16 match with a scoreless draw against Tigres UANL at Estadio Universitario.

It was the Peruvian’s third consecutive clean sheet in all competitions this year.

The return leg is scheduled for next week, March 15, at Exploria Stadium at 8:15 p.m.

Away goals remain in effect.

Overall, it was an impressive performance for the Lions, who were able to produce 9 shots, with three of them on target — an increase from the previous two games.

Forward Ramiro Enrique made his first start of the year for Orlando and returned after missing last weekend’s match against Cincinnati because of lower-body tightness. However, the Argentine forward was substituted at halftime after overextending his knee early in the first half, coach Oscar Pareja confirmed shortly after the game.

Enrique will go through more evaluation in the coming days but doesn’t think it’s serious, added Pareja.
