Orlando City B made their long-awaited MLS Next Pro debut on Saturday, winning 2-0 over Chicago Fire II at Osceola Heritage Park. Orlando City loanees Jack Lynn and Wilfredo Rivera combined for both goals, with Lynn finishing both in the second half.

Both OCB and Chicago were reduced to 10 players by the second half after a straight red to the Fire’s Justin Reynolds, while Orlando’s Erick Gunera was shown a second yellow in the 63rd minute.

“We are happy because our players, our young players especially, had the first experience in a professional league and also because of the performance of the players who have come from the first team,” Head Coach Martín Perelman said after the match, “Of course, we have a lot to improve on, we made mistakes, the game was without balance. We don’t like that but it’s okay, it’s the first game and it’s good to start winning for the kids, they did a big effort, so we are happy for them.”
