The Orlando Pride continued to add more players to their roster ahead of the upcoming NWSL Challenge Cup in April.

On Thursday, the Pride announced they signed defender Ally Haran to a one-year contract.

“We’re pleased to officially add Ally to our squad for the upcoming season,” Orlando Pride General Manager Ian Fleming said in a release. “She is a versatile piece for our back line, positionally aware, and her continuous development during preseason is a testament to the work that she’s put in thus far. We look forward to seeing that progress continue.”

Haran, 24, trained last year with Orlando and made two appearances during the 2020 NWSL Fall Series, scoring her first professional goal and tying the game during the finale of the competition last October which saw the Pride overcome a 3-0 deficit against North Carolina to end the match 3-3 at Exploria Stadium.

Following her time at Wake Forest (2014-2017), Haran spent 2018 in Iceland with UMF Selfoss before moving back to the United States in 2019 to sign with the North Carolina Courage before joining the Houston Dash later that year.

The Pride kicks off their run in the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup on Saturday, April 10 against expansion side Racing Louisville at the recently new Lynn Family Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. and will stream on Paramount+ — formally known as CBS All Access.
