The Orlando Pride announced Saturday that U.S. women’s national team star Alex Morgan will not play in next week’s NWSL Fall Series, instead joining Tottenham Hotspur Women of the FA WSL.
According to a report from The Athletic, Morgan signed a short-team loan deal with Spurs that will run through the end of the year.
Morgan becomes the latest Pride player to sign a loan deal with a team abroad, joining midfielder Alanna Kennedy and defender Shelina Zadorsky at Spurs.
The Spurs deal comes four months after Morgan welcomed her newborn daughter, Charlie, with former Orlando City player Servando Carrasco on May 7.

Among other roster updates, the Pride announced defenders Julie King and Morgan Reid have not been medically cleared and will be unavailable for the games. Forward Caitlin Farrell has been removed from the Pride roster for failure to report.
