The Orlando Pride announced Thursday they waived forward Chioma Ubogagu, who will leave the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) to seek playing opportunities in Europe.

“On behalf of everyone at the Pride, we’d like to thank Chioma for her contributions to the club over the last three seasons,” Orlando Pride general manager Erik Ustruck said in a statement. “We wish her the best of luck in this next career move.”

Ubogagu, 26, tallied 12 goals and seven assists during three seasons with the Pride. Her 57 appearances for Orlando ties her for third most-appearances in club history.

She scored most recently during a 2-1 win over the Chicago Red Stars but missed last Saturday’s game against the Washington Spirit due to an excused absence.

Ubogagu scored four goals in 17 appearances for the Pride this season.

Ubogagu was not present at Pride training on Thursday.
