KISSIMMEE — The Orlando SeaWolves opened the scoring, but the visiting and defending MASL champions Baltimore Blast surged and eventually cruised to victory, securing a 4-1 win Friday night at the Silver Spurs Arena.
The SeaWolves (0-2) scored the opening when a long ball played from Eduardo Cruz pinned Luiz Mota who struck from close range 7:13 into the first quarter.
Andrew Hoxie equalized for the Blast (3-1) after scoring off a set piece 6:48 into the second quarter. Juan Pereira assisted in Josh Hughes’ go-ahead 3:04 into the third quarter before recording a goal of his own 7:23 into the third quarter.
Pereira secured his second goal of the night after scoring from a penalty in the final minute of the game.
Up next, the SeaWolves host the Mississauga MetroStars on Saturday, Dec. 22 at 7:35 p.m.
