Orlando Pride clinches first-ever NWSL playoff berth

The Pride are going to the final four of the National Women’s Soccer League playoffs.

After playing to a scoreless draw against the Portland Thorns on Saturday, the Orlando Pride were able to secure its place in the playoffs after the Seattle Reign fell 1-0 to FC Kansas City on Sunday.

The Pride (10-6-7, 37 points) will play their final game of the regular season on the road when they take on the North Carolina Courage, a potential playoff opponent, Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Following the conclusion of the NWSL regular season. Orlando will either travel to play the Thorns on Oct. 7 or Courage on Oct. 8 with both matches beginning at 3:30 p.m on Lifetime.


Here are final four teams to make the 2017 NWSL playoffs: 

  1. North Carolina Courage – 46 points, 15-6-1
  2. Portland Thorns – 44 points, 13-5-5
  3. Chicago Red Stars – 39 points, 11-6-6
  4. Orlando Pride – 37 points, 10-6-7
