A stoppage-time goal from Scott Sutter leveled match for Orlando City as it drew 1-1 against the Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field on Wednesday night.
Will Bruin scored in the 19th minute to give the Sounders (5-7-5, 20 points) the lead, but a free kick outside the box taken by Ricardo Kaka connected with Sutter who headed the ball past Stefan Frei in the 94th minute of added time.
Victor PC Giro, who entered the game in the 85th minute for Donny Toia, drew a foul in the final moments to create the opportunity for Kaka before the goal.
“Tonight for me was probably one of our better games the entire season,” said Orlando City head coach Jason Kreis. “I thought the way we moved the ball and the way we were getting it into the right spaces, our attacking movements looked great. Really pleased we got something out of this game tonight because I really felt we deserved it.”
It was Orlando City’s second-consecutive game in which a goal was scored in stoppage time to equalize the score.
