After a brief summer hiatus, I’m happy to announce the Orlando Soccer Journal is back in motion.
I recently visited the beautiful country of Guatemala this past month. It was a dream of mine to return one day to the land of my parents, and I’m thankful I got to fulfill that dream.
While the website was down during my trip, I still managed to keep track on Orlando City, Orlando Pride and Orlando City B. It’s been a long season, and we here at the OSJ look to finish the last stretch of the soccer season with our best-to-come content.
The OSJ has so far had a great first year. From reporting from special events, press conferences to training sessions and game days at Camping World Stadium, we couldn’t have made it this far without you, the reader.
During my trip to Central America, I witnessed and learned how many media professionals connect with devoted soccer readers. My plan is to enhance my communication with you, albeit through OSJSoccer.com and our various social media outlets.
I’m still a student of the game but through experience, wisdom and understanding can be attained. Many thanks to my fellow Orlando soccer media figures who have taught me a thing or two. My journalism professors at the University of Central Florida and Valencia College. And the Orlando City communications team for allowing the OSJ to have access to training and game days.
Our staff is in the process of being revamped, and I can’t wait to introduce to you some of our new writers.
Big plans and more work is to come from the OSJ. Thank you so much for being an avid reader as we move forward toward growth and success.
