Orlando City and fan-favorite Adrian Winter have parted ways.
According to Alicia DelGallo of the Orlando Sentinel, The club released Winter on Friday, citing family reasons for the mutual termination of his contract.
The Swiss international joined the Lions last season during the summer transfer window, playing a total of 22 games with 19 starts. Winter also tallied five goals during his two seasons at Orlando City.
With Winter gone, it opens an international player slot as the summer transfer window opens on Monday.
Winter’s last game occurred last Wednesday during a 2-1 Open Cup loss against Fort Lauderdale Strikers.
