The Flash took care of business early.
Makenzy Doniak scored the game’s only goal in the third minute as the Western New York Flash defeated the Orlando Pride 1-0 Saturday night at Sahlen’s Stadium.

The loss was the Pride’s second straight defeat of the season.
Despite the defeat, Orlando’s international players made a return to the team after committing to national team duty with their respective national teams.
Alex Morgan (USA), Ashlyn Harris (USA), Monica Hickman Alves (Brazil), Josee Belanger (Canada), Laura Alleway (Australia) and Stephanie Catley (Australia) all returned for Saturday’s game at Rochester.
Saturday’s win for Western New York catapulted them to first place in the National Women’s Soccer League standings.
Orlando (4-4-0, 12 points) continues its road stretch with a game at the Washington Spirit on Saturday, June 18 at 7 p.m.
