Orlando City B went back to winning ways.
After falling to Louisville City last week at home, OCB managed to claim a 2-1 victory over the Charleston Battery at MUSC Health Stadium on Saturday.
Orlando City B (5-6-2, 17 points) got on the scoreboard first after Michael Cox’s strike in the 15th minute gave the visitors the lead.
Orlando City first-team player Conor Donovan doubled the lead after converting a header off Pierre Da Silva’s free kick in the 42nd minute.
Anthony Pulis’ men went down a player when Tyler Turner was issued a straight red card for a flagrant foul on a Charleston player, which also resulted into a penalty kick for the Battery before halftime.
Justin Portillo converted the penalty for the Battery, who fell to 6-4-3 in the season with 21 points.
Orlando City B returns back to Melbourne to host New York Red Bulls II on Sunday, June 19 at 7:30 p.m.
