The New York Red Bulls continued its winning ways after a run of losing games.
Meanwhile, Orlando City was able to grind out a point in New England without the services of team captain Ricardo Kaká.
Arguably the best game in Major League Soccer this past weekend was a bout between the Portland Timbers and Toronto FC, in which Diego Valeri scored the game-winning goal on a free kick to see Portland past Toronto on Sunday.
