Orlando City B clinches first win of season

Tyler Turner’s two-goal performance spurred Orlando City B to a 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Friday night at Highmark Stadium.

The Orlando City homegrown player opened the scoring in the 38th minute before doubling the lead in the 67th minute after connecting with UCF alum Hadji Barry.

Romeo Parkes scored Pittsburgh’s lone goal after converting on a penalty kick in stoppage time.

Team captain Lewis Neal did not play due to suspension. Tony Rocha, who received a red card last week, started on Saturday after getting his suspension rescinded.

The match was part of USL’s Game of the Week, which featured for the first time on ESPN3.

The USL Lions (1-3-1, 4 points) are back in action when they visit the Harrisburg City Islanders on Monday at 7 p.m.
