Louisville City cruises past Orlando City B

Orlando City B had the first goal, but Louisville City had the most goals in a 4-1 victory on Saturday night at Slugger Field.

Michael Cox gave OCB the early lead after Richie Laryea’s back-heel pass found the striker to slot the ball in the bottom left corner of the net in the fifth minute.

But the lead was short-lived when Chandler Hoffman leveled the scoring for Louisville in the 25th minute.

With both teams entering the second half tied, OCB’s defense suffered a set-piece collapse when Andrew Lubahn scored to give James O’Connor’s team the 2-1 lead minutes into the second half.

Kadeem Dacres’s strike from 21 yards gave Louisville the 3-1 lead in the 65th minute before Ilija Ilic capped the scoring during stoppage time.

Louisville provisionally moved to No. 3 in the USL Eastern Conference standings and improves to 2-1-0.

Orlando City B fell to 0-2-1  and return to Titan Soccer Complex to host the Harrisburg City Islanders on Saturday at 7 p.m.
