The Orlando Pride’s inaugural season starts in about two months. For Pride forward Alex Morgan and goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris, though, there’s been plenty of offseason pitch action — and now there’s more.
The team announced in a press release Saturday that Morgan and Harris were named to the U.S. women’s national team roster for the 2016 SheBelieves Cup. From March 3-9, the world’s top-five ranked women’s national teams will travel to the United States to compete in the SheBelieves Cup.
In the tournament, there will be three doubleheaders:
- March 3 (at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.)
- Germany vs. France
- U.S. vs. England
- March 6 (at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn.)
- France vs. England
- U.S. vs Germany
- March 9 (at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton, Fla.)
- Germany vs. England
- U.S. vs. France
The United States’ first match against England will be broadcasted on FS1, while the following two matches against Germany and France will be shown on ESPN3.
