Despite dislocating his shoulder in a 5-2 victory over the New York Red Bulls in the week prior, Seb Hines became Orlando City’s unlikely hero with an eventual game-winning goal in the 80th minute of a 2-1 home victory over the Montreal Impact.
Hines entered the game following a collision between Tommy Redding and Rafael Ramos, who were both carted off the field.
With the team’s playoff hopes still alive, Hines’ game-winner could not have come at a better time. The Lions would eventually narrowly miss the playoffs in the final weeks of the regular season, winning 2-1 over New York City FC, but dropping their final game 1-0 to the Philadelphia Union.
