Orlando City Soccer Club’s pursuit of Antonio Nocerino is over.
According to The Washington Post, Major League Soccer has ordered Orlando City to end its ambitions of signing the AC Milan midfielder, also citing that DC United has “exclusive rights” to acquire the Italian.
The Lions expressed interest in the Milan midfielder earlier this week, sparking speculation that Nocerino was heading to the Sunshine State.
The Post also reported that Orlando City’s pursuit of Nocerino conflicts with league-tampering rules.
