Orlando City B 2016 roster | December edition

Orlando City’s ascension to Major League Soccer can be attributed to its grassroots movement from the United Soccer League, and the many players that donned the purple kit since 2012.

The men in charge of leading Orlando City B will represent the early days of the Lions with Anthony Pulis as head coach and Rob Valentino as assistant coach. Both will be responsible in essentially planting the seeds with the hope that eventually something great will develop.

The task doesn’t seem hard; Orlando City head coach Adrian Heath has done it, and both Pulis and Valentino were the guys named to continue Heath’s legacy in the USL. The conflict, however, will be developing players while simultaneously inserting a competitive team on the field. Only time will tell what the future has for OCB.

While the USL 2016 schedule has not been released yet, we do know where the B squad will play their home games. Orlando City B will host teams at Titan Soccer Complex in Melbourne at the campus of Eastern Florida State College.

Below is the Orlando City B roster for December.

Head coach: Anthony Pulis

Assistant coach: Rob Valentino

GOALKEEPERS (1): Mason Stajduhar (HGP)

DEFENDERS (5): Mikey Ambrose, Kyle Callan-McFadden, Tommy Redding (HGP), Conor Donovan (HGP), Tyler Turner (HGP)

MIDFIELDERS (4): Tony Rocha, Lewis Neal, Harrison Heath (HGP), Estrela (HGP)

  • HGP = Homegrown players

The OSJ predicts the above homegrown players will be moved down to Orlando City B.
